DragonVenture Welcomed Official Dalian Delegation


Palo Alto, California, July 11, 2002

Silicon Valley Based cross-Pacific venture capital and consulting firm DragonVenture, Inc. today hosted an official delegation from Dalian, China at its Palo Alto office. 

The Dalian delegation has long shown interest in visiting Silicon Valley firms to witness the pulse of world’s high tech center. Members of the delegation included the director of Dalian Bureau of the Information Industry and executives from some leading Dalian IT companies. DragonVenture facilitated visits to Silicon Valley companies OSA Technologies, Impactxoft, Enactex, and Nextrend for the Dalian delegation.

We have plans to return to Silicon Valley before the end of this year to further promote bilateral business activities between Dalian and Silicon Valley. We hope to leverage DragonVenture’s expertise in PR and marketing to allow main stream U. S. learn more about Dalian." said Luan Qing Wei, Director of the Dalian Bureau of the Information Industry.

Dalian is an important harbor city in Northern China. It has been named as the nation’s pilot city of “informatization"and model city of e-commerce by the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry. Dalian Software Park is one of the ten largest national software bases in China.

Founded by two Chinese-American entrepreneurs, DragonVenture has been actively assisting local Chinese governments to promote the overall image of their cities in the U. S., and introducing the governments and businesses to U. S. business communities, especially in the Silicon Valley. DragonVenture is officially the consulting agency of record of the city of Dongguan, China. DragonVenture has thus far been solicited by and is in discussion with five other cities in China for similar arrangements.
